What I do

Coding

I am currently expanding my skillset to explicitly include back-end web development. Having completed the fundamental FrontEnd Dev course previously, I am moving into the Back End Developer courses. In addition, black box C# coding is often a part of my Automation tasks.

Documentation

From writing user manuals to training courses to internal technical documentation, I have experience at several levels of documentation writing. This experiences serves me well during the requirements gathering stages and into the project management process as we pursue agile development.

UX

Recent courses have included beginning and intermediate UX Research concepts. I have been the design lead on two major applications over the last 5 years. Both projects leverage a combination of front-end UI capturing data that is fed into databases which is then acted upon by a series of automated workflows.

Automation

I am an automation platform expert with over 6 years experience with the PMG automation platform writing hundreds of automation tasks. The platform leverages low-code workflows to automate business processes, supports creation of low-code application web pages, reports and integration with other systems via API calls and SQL queries.

Who I Am

Designer & developer based out of Atlanta

I started my computer-based career by sitting down to read the DOS manual, then tried out all the commands I could on my little 386 home PC running DOS 5.0. Working as a mortgage loan processor I was fortunate to ride the wave forward as the mortgage industry shifted from typewriters and multi-carbon forms to PC-based mortgage software by grabbing a job at an up and coming mortgage software company.

I've been at home on computers ever since. Various specializations have given me exposure to everything from writing install programs, handling software translation projects, managing code repos and build automation, writing user manuals, to various forms of automation workflows and scripts. Today I'm building on by leveraging this range of experience as I tackle back end web development.

When I'm not coding, you might find me singing Broadway show tunes, visiting any Disney park, listening to a range of music from EDM to Yes, reading sci-fi and fantasy, tracking the latest Marvel movies, or planning my next cruise vacation.
